Brand Licensing Europe is Europe’s key licensing event. The 2022 edition brought together top brands and businesses for three days of networking at London’s Excel centre. ESA was there to meet, greet, and spread the word about our brand.

ESA’s Brand Licensing team set out for this year’s Brand Licensing Europe event with the goal of meeting with the world’s leading brands and taking the opportunity to catch-up with current partners. As well as networking with potential licensees of the ESA brand, the fair offered valuable insight into what is upcoming in the licensing world and the chance to spot future trends.

Teaming up with well-known brands that are a good match for ESA’s values is not only an effective way to reach new audiences – but it enables us to do so in a very targeted way. Specific brands can provide access to particular age groups or audiences with special areas of interest. With a huge range of global brands all under one roof, Brand Licensing Europe proved a great place to meet future licensees and explore ways to reach a wider public that might not know about ESA.

Licensing offers rewards to both parties. While commercial partners benefit from ESA’s trusted brand and its association with space and science, their products help ESA to meet its need to spread awareness about its activities and values. The right products can also inspire a new generation of space scientists, engineers and astronauts. With this in mind, areas of particular interest for ESA included apparel, video games, TV shows and movies, and children’s toys.

Over a busy couple of days, ESA’s Brand Licensing team had many conversations with European businesses interested in the ESA brand and what it offered them. ESA’s Head of Branding and Partnerships, Emmet Fletcher,  said “ESA’s brand represents the sum of all of our activities. Bringing the brand to the widest audience possible is therefore of paramount importance. Working closely with amazing brands and products across all areas is a wonderful way to achieve this aim.”
