Handing over Sentinel-3A

Following launch and a five-month commissioning period, ESA handed the day-to-day running of the Sentinel-3A satellite over to Eumetsat on 13 July 2016. ESA and Eumetsat now manage the mission jointly, where ESA produces land products and Eumetsat marine products for application through the Copernicus services.
