Sea ice

Sea ice and open water (leads) between Iceland and Greenland as seen from an aircraft on the way to start ESA’s CryoVex campaign. The expedition involves numerous institutes in an all-out effort to confirm that measurements from the CryoSat satellite mission are correct and to prepare for new satellite technologies to measure Earth’s changing ice.
