Meet astronaut Luca Parmitano
Did you follow ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano’s updates and images during his Volare space mission on social media? Now there’s a chance to hear about his time on the International Space Station directly from Luca.
ESA is inviting 50 followers of @Astro_Luca to join us for a SocialSpace event, open to all his followers on social networks, such as Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
The event will take place on 11 April at ESA’s ESRIN facility in Frascati, Italy, starting at 16:00 CEST (in English).
How to apply
To apply, please complete the registration form. Be sure to include your Twitter name and let us know why you would like to attend.
Fifty participants will be selected to attend. Selection will be on the basis of your question. Registration is for one person only and is non-transferable. Please do not submit multiple applications. All registrants must be at least 18 years old on 11 April 2014 and must be able to attend the event in ESRIN on that day. You must supply a valid and working email address. Please read the full Terms and Conditions before completing your application.
Please note that ESA will not cover travel, accommodation or food expenses. The SocialSpace will be held mainly in English, but questions are welcome in Italian.
Registration closes on 14 March at 11:00 GMT (12:00 CET).
The Twitter account for the event is @Social4Space, the hashtag is #LucaTweetup. We will use both to post updates and reminders about the event.
