ESA / Applications / Observing the Earth / Copernicus / Sentinel-5P

The Sentinel-5P launch SocialSpace will be held on 13 October 2017, at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.

To apply, be sure to include your name, social media account(s), contact information, and, importantly, a few words explaining why you are interested in attending the event.

In addition, you are asked to prepare a short video (10–30 seconds max) explaining what it means to be a ‘precursor’ in social media, in life, in space, and post it in one of your accounts and provide us with the URL. This is not compulsory but highly recommended. Please take into consideration that if your video or feed (e.g. Instagram) has a private setting, ESA will not have access.

Only eligible applicants will be considered (see below), and, owing to space limitations, not all applicants may be successful. Applications are for one person only and are non-transferable. Please do not submit multiple applications. All applicants must be at least 18 years old on 13 October 2017.

While participation in the Sentinel-5P launch SocialSpace is free of charge, invitees are responsible for all personal expenses related to travel, accommodation and other costs in connection with the event. Wifi access, a full programme of activities and catering will be provided. If you have special mobility or dietary requirement, please let us know.

The application deadline is 25 September at 10:00 GMT (12:00 CEST). Selected applicants will receive an email with a formal invitation no later than 29 September. Additional instructions will be sent to those selected, and to those on the waiting list.

Please allow us time to process all the applications; we will keep you posted of progress via @social4space.
