CNES/ESA ATV Docking SpaceTweetup - application
The CNES/ESA ATV Docking SpaceTweetup will take place at the CNES Toulouse Space Centre overnight during the docking of ATV-3, Edoardo Amaldi, set for 19 March at 04:05 CET.

This event is designed for Twitter users who follow an account operated by ESA or CNES (see links at right)
Application deadline
The application window is open now and closes on 26 February at 22:00 CET. The number of participants is limited to 60; all others will be placed on a waiting list. Selected applicants will be notified by email on 29 February.
An application is for one person only and is non-transferable. Please do not submit multiple applications.
Please note that neither CNES nor ESA will cover travel, accommodation or other expenses. All registrants must be at least 18 years old.
Dates, times, venue
The Tweetup will take place from about 22:00 CET on Sunday, 18 March to 06:00 CET on Monday, 19 March, at the CNES site in Toulouse. These times will be confirmed to successful applicants.
It will be held in English and French; questions and tweets are welcome in any language.
The Twitter account for the Tweetup is @Spacetweetup, the hashtag is #atvtweetup. Both will be used to post updates and reminders about the event.
Notification of acceptance
Once all the applications have been processed, a confirmation email will information and additional instructions will be sent to those selected and those on the waiting list.
We expect to start sending notices of acceptance by 29 February. Please allow us time to process all the applications; we will keep you posted of progress via Twitter: @spacetweetup.
General conditions
Applicants understand that the application window opens now and closes on 26 February at 22:00 CET. The number of participants is limited to 60 (all others will be placed on a waiting list). Selected applicants will be notified by email starting on 29 February and must confirm their firm intention to take part no later than 2 March 2012.
An application is for one person only and is non-transferable. By applying, you confirm that, if invited, you are available to travel to the ATV Docking SpaceTweetup in Toulouse, France.
Applicants understand that neither CNES nor ESA will provide any financial support and that all travel, accommodation and other costs are my responsibility.
Applicants understand that the ATV Docking SpaceTweetup is an open event for invited guests, and that all participants may be photographed or videoed during the event. Applicants agree that photos, videos or other recordings of them may be posted online during and/or after the event.
Applicants understand that ATV docking is an actual operational space activity and is subject to change, delay or cancellation for a number of reasons. The Tweetup may also, therefore, be delayed or cancelled. Therefore, applicants agree to make travel and accommodation plans that are flexible and/or refundable.
Access to CST Toulouse
Applicants must provide details of their government-issued photo ID, such as a passport or national ID card, when applying and must bring the original version with them to be admitted to the SpaceTweetup.
Applicants understand that the ATV Docking SpaceTweetup will be conducted in English and French, with best-effort 'in-situ' translation provided if and as necessary. Questions may be asked in English or French, and tweets may be sent in any language.
