This video introduces ESA astronaut Christer Fuglesang, outlines his mission, and takes a look at his training at NASA's Johnson Space Centre in Houston, Texas.

The Swedish physicist Christer Fuglesang, a member of the European Astronaut Corps, is scheduled to fly to the International Space Station (ISS) on Shuttle flight STS-128.

During this two week mission, Fuglesang will carry out experiments and make two spacewalks outside the Station performing maintenance and construction tasks.

He will also oversee the operations of Leonardo, the European-built Multi Purpose Logistics Module, that will bring scientific hardware and experiments to the ISS.
