ARISS
There will be a live radio link from the ISS to selected Spanish primary schools. Students will ask ESA astronaut Pedro Duque questions. Another goal is to develop and maintain the amateur radio activity on the ISS using the on-board ARISS radio equipment. Principal Investigator: G. Bertels (Belgium) E. Grifoni (ESA).

APIS experiment - experimental configuration
APIS experiment - experimental configuration

APIS
This experiment focuses on the behaviour of a rigid body rotating around its centre of mass. The rigid body used in the experiment will simulate a rotating spacecraft. The objective is to prepare a video for educational purposes to demonstrate the dynamics of solid body rotation, which may occur depending on the distribution of mass of the body. Such factors can have the effect of changing the axis of rotation of a spacecraft. Principal Investigator: A. Laverón, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain)

CHONDRO
The objective of the Chondro space experiment is to find more stable bone cartilage structures, by dissolving cartilage tissue from pig bones into its basic components and then regrowing these components into new cartilage. Principal Investigator: Technical University of Zurich (Switzerland).

THEBAS experiment
THEBAS experiment

THEBAS
Using relatively simple hardware, the experiment will illustrate the principles of dynamics, ranging from the classical rational mechanics of solid bodies to the continuous media mechanics. Also, experimental video material will be prepared for educational purposes.

The behaviour of transparent closed containers (having the same size and total mass) filled with solid bodies (spheres) of different radii, will be analysed. The mass of the content of each container is the same in all cases. Principal Investigator: A. Laverón, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain).

VIDEO-2
The objective of the experiment is to demonstrate basic physical phenomena, for example, Newton’s Three Laws of Motion by filming some basic physics experiments during weightlessness. The videos will be used for educational purposes, fitting the basic physics curriculum of the target age group of 12 to 18-year-olds. Principal Investigator: M. Paiva (Belgium).
