SME Office
The SME Office is part of ESA’s Directorate of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness. It implements and manages the SME Policy adopted by Member States, and coordinates its activities with other institutional actors, such as the national space agencies.
The aim of the SME Office is to facilitate the involvement of SMEs, including start-ups and newcomers, in the research and development activities of the Agency.
SMEs can contact the SME Office for information on:
- registration with ESA, general procurement issues and to access the Hotline.
- programmatic aspects of ESA programmes and activities.
- entering into activities of the Agency.
- training events that have been organised in coordination with ESA Member States.
The SME Office raises awareness of SME capabilities by maintaining esa-match – the Agency’s matchmaking portal, and by organising networking opportunities such as the Industry Space Days (ISD) and other related events.
The SME Industry Portal website is managed by the SME Office and provides information to SMEs registered with ESA and those in a cooperation agreement or within Member States, to facilitate opportunities to work with ESA and within the European space industry.
