ESA workshop on satellite navigation user equipment technologies
The European Space Agency is hosting a workshop for professionals in Satellite Navigation User Equipment Technology from 8 to 10 December.
Participants of NAVITEC’ 2004 will share their technical expertise and experiences in the latest developments in space-borne and terrestrial-based satellite navigation equipment and techniques.
NAVITEC' 2004 will be hosted at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The workshop will provide an open forum to satellite navigation equipment designers, developers, integrators, users, universities and agencies representatives.
Presentations will include an overview of existing and proposed satellite navigation technologies such as ground and space receivers, indoor and urban navigation systems, signal processing and scientific applications. Special attention will be devoted to the integration of navigation technologies with communication devices and location-based services.
The workshop will also give an update on the status of the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) and Galileo, the ESA navigation laboratory facilities and the ESA support to the development of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) applications.
