Greece signs special accord with ESA
On 17 January, ESA Director General Antonio Rodotá signed a framework cooperation agreement in Athens with the Greek Minister for Development, Nikos Christodoulakis.
Areas with potential for cooperation between ESA and Greece include space science, Earth observation research and applications, telecommunications, satellite navigation, microgravity research, and ground segment engineering and utilisation.
The next step is to identify projects of mutual interest. Once this has been done, projects will be defined in specific implementing arrangements when the agreement enters into force.
