Comet Halley depicted on the Bayeux tapestry

Comet Halley, in its 1066 appearance, is shown in the Bayeux Tapestry. The tapestry, a long, narrow strip of coarse linen (70 metres by 51 centimetres), is displayed in a special museum in Bayeux, Normandie (France).
