CubeSats being launched from the International Space Station's Kibo laboratory. CubeSats are miniature satellites just 10 cm per side weighing a maximum of 1 kg. They offer hands-on experience to aerospace engineering students in designing, developing, testing and operating a real spacecraft system and its ground segment.
NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman took this picture of CubeSats being launched from the weightless research centre 19 August 2014 during his six-month stay on Station.
