Deorbit sail concepts

Designs for solar sails for deorbiting satellites at the end of life, presented by Germany’s High Performance Space Structure Systems company at March 2015’s workshop on space debris mitigation and CleanSat, taking place at ESA’s ESTEC technical centre in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. All of Europe’s large and small satellite builders were joined by subsystem and component providers as well as a leading satellite operator.
