Satellite equipment supply sector in Europe

An ambitious assessment of the situation of the Satellite equipment supply sector in Europe was performed between March 1998 and June 1999. The results of the assessment were shared during 1999 with all national delegations and industry. They were preceded by meetings with the two prime contractor groups, at top management level, and with all European industry, at the Industry Space Days (ESTEC, May 1999). This long process has enabled the Executive to compile an accurate overview of the industrial situation in all Member States. It has also allowed all leading European players to share and assimilate the key objective data on the situation in the sector.
