Top 12 companies selected in Global Space Markets Challenge
ESA’s Global Space Markets Challenge has reached its next phase. The competition’s Selection Committee has chosen the top 12 applicants.
Each applicant has been invited to deliver a five-minute pitch on their internationalisation plans and present the products or services which they propose to introduce to identified target markets. This will take place online on 28 September in front of ESA delegates during the Agency’s Industrial Policy Evolution Working Group meeting.
The top 12 companies, six in the upstream and six in the downstream category, are:

ESA delegates will choose the six best companies, three from the upstream and three from the downstream category, which will be proposed to the ESA Director General for nomination as Winners.
The Global Space Markets Challenge is intended to be a springboard into international markets for small promising space-based companies in Europe and Canada.
The winners of the Challenge will be offered a range of prizes and opportunities, including participation in an ESA mentoring programme, attendance of (international) space events and the chance to have their company presented in a virtual reality tool (for the downstream winners).
The winners will also receive mentorship sessions by venture capitalists from Seraphim and Primo Space, which have actively supported the competition, and might be offered the possibility to take part in Seraphim and Primo events.
