The ESA Day in Poland was held in Warsaw on 6 June 2024. Organised in cooperation with the Member States, ESA Days are an opportunity to communicate together on space achievements, future milestones and ambitions.

The ESA Day in Poland was organised during the Space Sector Forum by the Polish Space Agency (POLSA), in cooperation with ESA. The Association of Space Industry Employers, the Ministry of Development and Technology, and the Industrial Development Agency, together with POLSA were the co-organiser of the Space Sector Forum.

The Space Sector Forum (FSK) has been organised since 2016 and every two years gathers about 400 participants: representatives of companies, research centres, administration and the media.

ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher congratulated POLSA on its 10th anniversary and highlighted the fruitful cooperation between ESA and POLSA since 2014 in his video message, “I want to express my profound appreciation for POLSA’s dedication and the excellent cooperation we have enjoyed over the past decade.“

“This anniversary arises at a historic moment as we prepare for the spaceflight of a second Polish national in space. This initiative, with the increase in active participation and investment in space, showcases the will of Poland to position itself clearly as a space nation.”

The objectives of these events are to raise awareness about European space ambitions, to inform decision-makers, media and the public about ESA activities and Member States involvement country by country, and to further strengthen ESA’s connection to our Member States and their citizens.
