For all registered visitors for Sunday 8 October’s ESA Open Day at ESTEC in the Netherlands, the programme brochure for the day is now available to read through and plan your visit.

Sunday’s Open Day begins with an opening ceremony at 09:45, running until 17:00. The venue is ESA’s largest establishment, the European Space Research and Technology Centre, ESTEC, where new missions are designed, industrial developments managed and the resulting hardware is tested for flight in space. Technical experts and a suite of space labs support the development of new technologies to make future missions happen.

●Want to see an actual spacecraft? ESA’s Hera asteroid mission is on show at the ESTEC Test Centre, where it is being tested ahead of its launch to asteroid Dimorphos next year, see page 14.
