Ariane 2 V18

As the size of satellites grew, Ariane 1 gave way in 1984 to the more powerful Ariane 2 and 3, and these in turn were superseded by Ariane 4 in 1988. This is the first launch of Ariane 2, flight V18 on 30 May 1986, carrying Intelsat 5a F14.
