Portugal seen from Envisat

Portugal captured by Envisat, MERIS instrument, on 21 March 2002. With its 300-metre resolution imaging capabilities and outstanding radiometric accuracy, MERIS (MEdium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer) is a useful tool in better understanding the causes and consequences of deforestation, erosion, river pollution and other environmental threats.
