Argentina's SAC-C, operated by CONAE

The SAC-C satellite is owned and operated by CONAE, the Argentinean space agency. The 475-kg Earth Observation spacecraft is in polar orbit 702 km up in space, having been launched in November 2000. Now that Argentina has signed up for the International Charter on Space and Major Disasters, SAC-C and other CONAE resources can be made available to civil protection agencies to assist with emergency situations.
