The French Minister of Research and New Technologies, Claudie Haigneré, who as an ex-ESA astronaut knows the potential of space technology, showed a particular interest at this years Le Bourget air show for the new UV-protection suit developed under ESA Technology Transfer Programme. The new suit may improve life quality for circa 300 patients in Europe diagnosed with the genetic disorder xeroderma pigmentosum (XP).
