Phoebe's violent, cratered past is more evident in this 3D image of Saturn's tiny moon.
This 3D view uses two images taken by the NASA/ESA/ASI Cassini-Huygens spacecraft narrow-angle camera on 11 June 2004. The 'right' image was taken from a distance of 15 215 kilometres through a clear filter. The 'left' image was taken from 20 085 kilometres through clear and infrared filters.
The image scales range from 92 metres per pixel (right image) to 482 metres per pixel (left image). The left image has been scaled to match the right image here.
