ESA/DLR-funded Texus 42 sounding rocket launches from Esrange, east of Kiruna in northern Sweden on 1 December 2005 at 10:06 Central European Time.
On board is the first IMPRESS experimental payload, the Electromagnetic Levitator (EML). This payload permits the accurate property measurements of highly-reactive liquid metal alloys.
In the 6 minutes and 37 seconds of weightlessness provided by the sounding rocket, the EML facility performed as planned.
