AACES test site

The Australian Airborne Calibration/Validation Experiments for SMOS (AACES) test site in the Murrumbidgee Catchment (outlined in red) in southeast Australia. The campaign was held in January and February and covered a 500 km transect of the Murrumbidgee Catchment. The black rectangles indicate the campaign flight patches and the white circles show the SMOS pixels.
