Herschel-Planck were 60% European

ESA's Herschel and Planck missions were made up of 60% European EEE components, in contrast to some earlier missions where the percentage dropped below 50%. Between 2000 and 2006 the number of European components used in European satellites had steadily declined. However the ESA-led European Components Initiative (ECI) has worked to increase the number of European-made components available to space missions.
