Bow-tie antennas

Two prototypes of IFCA's bow-tie planar antenna. The one in front is a single bow-tie antenna to operate from 29 GHz to 45 GHz; its size is 25.4 by 25.4 mm. In order to improve the antenna characteristics, a new array (behind) of four bow-tie antennas was fabricated to operate at 26.5–40 GHz. With two collimating lenses, this new prototype has a better performance.
