Launch of Ariane 5 (ECA) V164 on 12 February 2005 from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana, carrying XTAR-EUR, Sloshsat and MaqSat-B2. The Ariane 5 ECA is designed to launch payloads weighing up to 10 tonnes, mainly telecommunications satellites, into Geostationary Transfer Orbit, and can handle dual launches of large satellites.
