Corrosion testing

ESA Young Graduate Trainee Fatema Janjali working to test new kinds of protective metal coatings in ESA’s Materials and Electrical Components Lab, based in the Netherlands. A salt spray chamber is used to reproduce the corrosive conditions of French Guiana. Test parts are retrieved every three weeks to see if they have been affected by humidity.
