The Sway4edu2 system brings rural schools online via satcoms. The setup provides access to eLearning for teachers and students, media content and other online monitoring tools and information. The project is funded by ESA’s Advanced Research in Telecommunications Systems programme and Openet Technologies.

At the Sway4edu2 launch event on 17 June 2015 a student recited a poem to welcome the technology to Babati Primary School in South Africa.
