Tim Peake waves farewell to family and friends as he departs the Cosmonaut Hotel to suit-up for the Soyuz launch to the International Space Station, in Baikonur, Kazakhstan, on 15 December 2015.

ESA astronaut Tim Peake will leave for the International Space Station from Baikonur cosmodrome at 11:03 GMT (12:03 CET) with NASA astronaut Tim Kopra and Russian commander Yuri Malenchenko.
