This image shows an oblique view focusing on one of the fractures making up the Cerberus Fossae system. The fractures cut through hills and craters, indicating their relative youth.
The main image was taken on 27 January 2018 during orbit 17813 by the High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) on ESA’s Mars Express. The ground resolution is approximately 16 m/pixel and the images are centred at about 159°E/10°N. The oblique perspective view was generated using data from the HRSC stereo channels.
