This animation shows the Copernicus Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images in cross-polarisation acquired over Typhoon Hagibis as it heads to Japan’s main island of Honshu. These observations were possible thanks to the specific tasking performed on the Sentinel-1 radar satellites.
