Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission

Ursula von der Leyen is the President of the European Commission and in her 2020 State of the Union address, she set a new target of a 55% cut in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared to 1990 levels. The previous target had been a 40% reduction.
