1988 launch of Soviet Buran shuttle

The Soviet Union's Buran shuttle performed its sole orbital flight on 15 November 1988 from Baikonour cosmodrome, attached to an Energia launcher. The uncrewed flight completed two orbits around Earth before reentering and landing automatically.
