Quick look magnetic field strength data recorded by Solar Orbiter’s magnetometer during the 9 August 2021 Venus flyby. The field is seen increasing in magnitude due to the compression of the field as the spacecraft travels past the flank of the planet, and then the sharp drop as it passes the bowshock back into the solar wind.
Closest approach took place at 04:42 UTC.
