MTG-I1 arrival in the airlock in Kourou

The first Meteosat Third Generation satellite, MTG-I1, arrived on 11 October 2022 in the processing facility’s airlock at Europe's Spaceport in Kourou and was welcomed by many project members, both within and outside the airlock.

This new satellite, which carries two new extremely sensitive instruments, promises to further bolster Europe's leadership in weather forecasting.
