Euclid is set to provide a unique window into the evolution of our 13.8-billion-year-old Universe.
The mission will create the largest, most accurate 3D map of the Universe outside the Milky Way galaxy, a gigantic catalogue of billions of galaxies and stars looking back in time to when the Universe was just 25% of its current age. This will be a treasure trove of data that can be used to improve our understanding of many aspects of astronomy: from merging galaxies to the physics of small and cool stars.
