Spinning plasma brake repels ionospheric plasma

Once deployed from the nanosatellite, ESTCube-2's 'plasma brake', based on E-sail microtether technology, will repel the ionospheric plasma particles while still spinning. When operated in the plasma brake mode, the ESTCube-2 tether will point towards the Earth for maximal reduction of orbital altitude.
