CryoSat scale model inside the control room

A 1:30 scale model of ESA's CryoSat ice-mapping satellite inside the satellite's control room.

On 21-22 November, as this photograph was being taken, teams at ESA's mission control we instructing the satellite to swap to its back-up propulsion system as a leak in a primary thruster threatened to bring the mission to an early end.
