ESA had a strong presence at the UK Space Conference, which was held in Belfast this week.
The agency’s Director General Josef Aschbacher participated in the event’s opening panel discussion, which was chaired by UK Space Agency Chief Executive Paul Bate.
The panel also included Rebecca Evernden, Director of Space at the UK’s Department for Science Innovation and Technology; and Aarti Holla-Maini, Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs.
Key talking points during the “Space for our future” session included the importance of satellites for daily life and the UK’s excellent contributions to space ambitions in Europe and beyond.
