The team responsible for navigating ESA’s Hera mission to and around the Didymos binary asteroid system recently had the opportunity to visit the spacecraft inside its cleanroom at ESA’s ESTEC engineering centre.
Hera is currently completing its final system tests and has begun to count down its days left in Europe. This may have been the last chance for the team to see Hera in person prior to launch, which is scheduled for October this year.
Hera's operations team is based at ESA's ESOC mission control centre in Germany.
