Twin containers hosted the welding experiment aboard the SpaceX Falcon 9 first stage: one barrel contained the welding unit plus a carrousel of multiple sets of relevant aerospace aluminium alloys while the second carried batteries for powering the system plus avionics for remote operation and data transmission.
