At Europe’ spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, the last preparations are under way for the second launch of Vega planned on 2 May at 23h06 Kourou time (3 May / 02h06 GMT).
This time the ESA’s light-weight launcher will carry multiple payloads.
Vega is now in a transition phase towards its introduction on the launcher’s market.
A phase called VERTA for Research, Technology & Accompaniment (VERTA), a programme to demonstrate the flexibility and reliability of the launcher and to support the initial operations of the Vega launch system.
