On 13 January ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet will perform a spacewalk outside the International Space Station.
Lasting up to seven hours the goal of this Extra Vehicular Activity is to ensure the power supply of the International Space Station from the 2500 sq m of solar panels.
The Station commander, Shane Kimbrough, will lead the spacewalk, accompanied by Thomas. He will be the 11th European to "walk" in space.
