The objectives and priorities for Europe in space will be discussed at the Council at Ministerial Level in Naples, Italy on 20–21 November 2012. Ministers in charge of space activities within the 20 ESA Member States and Canada will meet to decide on a plan for pushing knowledge, supporting an innovative and competitive Europe and enabling space-based services.
Thanks to Ariane 5, and now also with Soyuz and Vega, Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana allows the launch of any satellite into any orbit. Europe's independent access into space will be guaranteed and consolidated in the future with the potential for new launcher developments. This ESA TV video examines the priorities for launchers which are key for all missions. It includes an interview with Antonio Fabrizi, ESA Director of Launchers, in English and Italian.
