New details of our Milky Way galaxy are being revealed in Gaia’s Early Data Release 3. This video summarises the main highlights, which include a new census of stars in our cosmic neighbourhood, a study of the motions of stars in the outskirts of our galaxy, details of the shape of the Solar System’s orbit around the centre of the galaxy, and an investigation of the Milky Way's nearby satellite galaxies.
