HydRON: Fibre in the sky

Laser communications are revolutionising satellite communications. ESA’s HydRON network will link satellites to optical-fibre networks on the ground, enabling reliable, instant connectivity anywhere on Earth. HydRON is a high-throughput optical network and forms part of ESA's ScyLight programme for secure and laser communication technology.
