A short educational film which starts with a brief section of footage from the Skylab mission, launched in the summer of 1973 - pre-launch astronauts, brief launch footage, and examples of on-board experiments focussing on Owen Garriot's in-orbit science demonstrations. The rest of the film covers a lecture by Garriot to a class of high-school students, interspersed with film clips - astronauts float inside the Skylab module, diagram of the Earth's magnetic field, Garriot's on-board demonstration with free-floating magnets, measurement of the oscillation periods of a magnet, the effect of a magnet on a free-floating nut.
