Description of the Cansat mission:
The team's scientific mission is to study the solar irradiance on the surface of a planet. To achieve this goal, they will have four light sensors strategically located on the CanSat in order to have permanent data inputs. This will allow them to evaluate the photovoltaic energy production potential. The team will implement in their ground segment an innovative technological and operational methodology that consists in developing a virtual panel to receive, monitor (real time plots and indicators) and save (MS Excel database) all mission data. This application will also execute a few CanSat controls, such as sensor turn ON/OFF and test or asking for specific sensor readings. This feature will also allow power savings. There will be a GPS geolocation window linked to a mapping application (Google Maps) in their panel.
